Amante de Sol

"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio."........................................................... ~Hunter S. Christmas 2010

Today was filled with C-Words:
Christmas!
Cake!

A Baby J Day Cake!
And if I see my friend Reñan - his Birthday was the 23rd - some for him too
I actually MADE this cake from SCRATCH bitches!
It is delish!
The kids love cake.
I thought I had a box mix.
Checked the pantry & shelves - nada.
Got out a cookbook - that's right, you read correctly - A MuthaFriggin Cookbook.

Crows
Well it wouldn't be fair not to treat my pets now would it?
I had a lil bit of turkey skin and fat from the breast I made for the kids.
The idiot roommate had this huge roast in the fridge for day he was eating off of before he left for break. It bled all over my fridge, so I plated it for him. It got older and older. Browner and browner. He ate some the night before he left. When I got home from the cities on Wed afternoon, he had tossed heaps of his groceries out - and some of the veggies into my dish for the compost bin - perfectly good baking potatoes. I rescued those to use later. After unpacking all the stuff from my Mom's, I went to throw something away and in the bin was a huge hunk of that roast. I wasn't about to let that sit in there and start to rot before garbage day, so I pulled it out and chopped it up for the crows for another day (it was dark and crows don't come and eat after dark) as a treat. Today was the day! I called my crows and they instantly flew in for their treats.
Hmm, all gone eh.

Children!
Later my children (adults now) came by for snacky-treats, beverages, candies and cake!

We exchanged gifts - all were happy!

Cheers!
