Amante de Sol

"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio."........................................................... ~Hunter S. Venus and Mars

Tonight's news said Venus is close to the moon, but appears more as a star. Actually, Venus, Mars, and Spica are all up there to see along with Jupiter - bring out your binoculars or a telescope (a good zoom camera (lens) might work too. Here's a 5 min movie to watch about what's going on in the August night sky and some more info for this week too.

Also got told today that next Friday is my last day of work for the 2010 Census.
Yup, being laid off.
In a way, I am glad.
I knew it was coming and it's time.
I hope I find something else fairly soon as I am not sure unemployment will carry me from paycheck to paycheck.
I have some student worker interviews lined up and that will also help if I get one of those positions.
I am hoping for the one off-campus as it's a very interesting organization and I seem to be a very good fit, plus there is potential to go further in the job.
The on-campus job would be good as well as it's right up my alley with helping people.

Cross your fingers!
¡Abrazos!
