Or maybe it's a Pom Pom? Anyone?

**UPDATE** I had to go back and find out! A guy at work is really into mushrooms and wanted to know too, so I took a walk to where I had found it and at his request, brought a baggie to put it in and bring it back to him. Well as soon as I got to where it was located, it wasn't in the grass, but in the street - as if someone had mowed in the boulevard and spewed it into the street. I picked it up in the baggie - laughing as I did and at it's texture - thinking Mike is gonna love this. Sure enough, I brought it to work and said, "I have your specimen," tossing it at him. We all had a huge laugh over this pom pom 'mushroom'.
