Amante de Sol

"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio."........................................................... ~Hunter S. Holiday Weekend Begins!

Got Friday off - without pay.
Ah well.
It's still a day off and a long weekend.

The city is buzzing with all sorts of events to entertain and attractions to amuse both tourists and locals alike. Too bad it was such a grey overcast day for these shots.

The Carnival is in town at Bayfront Festival Park

Tall Ship S/V Denis Sullivan Arrived today as well for tours. I stopped after work and took a few shots without the zoo of people who'll be around on the weekend. They were just setting up the barriers to herd the visitors through as I arrived.

The Lake Guardian was docked behind the DECC just behind the Denis Sullivan so I snapped a couple of shots of it as well.

Of course, I took a shot of the Aerial Lift Bridge...jus cuz.

The Fourth Festival is held annually in Bayfront Festival Park with vendors, music and Fireworks to celebrate.

As if all that wasn't enough for you to do, there are always the seasonal summer attractions.

Can't travel to Dull-uth? Feel free to spy on all the events from the Visit Duluth Live Cam. This cam pans the area of the waterfront if you are patient enough to watch for a few minutes. Perhaps watch the fireworks from the comfort of your home and no parking hassles! Seeing that area lit up at night is lovely as it is now as I create this entry, especially the with the lighted Aerial Lift Bridge.

For more Dull-uth Live cams see my links to the right. Heck, skip the Dull-uth cams and go right to the Australian Beach Surf Cams and dare to dream. *sigh*

Here are a two screen caps I took from the site:
