I was quite disappointed to see that on my whole block, my house was the ONLY one to display our flag today. I did see a few on a cross street on my way back from the Farmer's Market this morning. But really, for most of the people being home as far as I could tell, their efforts to put their flags out were pretty lame. (As I have seen them out in the past.)

This was also the first year (in the 17 I have lived here) that the neighbourhood parade did not occur. This usually orignated over on Grandview Ave, a block or so behind me. (the way our streets are laid out)
Perhaps all the kids have grown up.
