Amante de Sol

"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio."........................................................... ~Hunter S. Happy Birthday George!

Happy Birthday to a great friend.
I've known George for nearly all my years here in Duluth.
About 18 I'd guess.
He's always been there for me, and for the most part, I for him.
We had a few years where we were both really busy and just fell away some.
Last July I rang him up with a question, and we caught up like no time had passed.
He was on his way out for a walk with his dog Gus, and I kinda begged in for the walk.
I love to walk and really love walking with someone, and who better than George.
We've walked nearly daily ('cept a few times when weather or homework prevented) since then.
I am so glad to have him back in my life.
He Talks, Listens, Provides Advice, Never Judges Me, and is like my reality check sometimes, reminding me to keep things in perspective, and use common sense.
Every walk ends with a really nice hug.
In a year where I lost my hugging buds - it was nice to get him back and the love he shows me.
I love him to pieces too.
I can count literally on one hand the people who mean the most to me, those who are always there - thick and thin.
Adding another hand I can add a few more who are nearly as close, and that I also love very much, but don't get to see or hear from as often.

Anyway, Happy Birthday to George - and on a lucky day too 1-1-11!
