Amante de Sol

"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio."........................................................... ~Hunter S. 19th - Full Moon!

I didn't take any photos of the Full Moon, but on my way down the hill to pick up Krystal it looked absolutely gorgeous. Guess I should have whipped out the camera. Ah well.
The suck thing is, that when the sky is clear, the temps are colder, and it was pretty damn cold to go out tonight.

All day I've had a headache - pinched neck from sleepin funny.
I ran downtown to meet Neill for lunch and he chose the India Palace.
I like eating there, as it's buffet-style, but oh so filling, and I was kinda wanting a lighter lunch. I had checked out the Greenery menu and they were having potato soup - that sounded really good. Ah well.

Luckily, after I was done with lunch and about to head home, George called to walk.
I was so full, but figured it'd beat sitting down right after that heavy food. I was right, except I only had jeans on, so my legs were freezing! I has brought along a fleece pullover, headband and warm gloves - but my poor legs were so cold.

Returning home, I decided to have a short nap to see if I could get that kink to sort itself and possibly get some relief from the dull headache. It kind of helped, so I didn't have to go to the evenings events feeling quite as out of sorts.

I had read online that the DAI (Duluth Art Institute) was having a show/reception from 6:30-8:30p, which worked out perfectly due to the fact that it was in the Depot also, giving Krystal and I something to check out before the play. We both noticed some artwork by people we know - which was an added bonus as well.

I snuck back in after the play and took these shots. There were some really cool pieces, and some really different/odd ones as well. Everyone sees art differently though - to each their own.

Then it was time for 'Picnic', the play I had worked on the past week and a half for school. We checked in (I was on the list for the dress rehearsal since I worked on the stage/set - and Krystal was my guest.) We went in and sat exactly in mid-house (house is the term for the seating area in the theatre - I learned that!) As we looked through the program to check out the cast and other information we discovered that:
MY NAME IS IN THE PROGRAM!!! yay!
I'm famous now!
hahahaaaaa
Anyway, here are some pics from the production "Picnic"

More details had been added to the set, namely the planter boxes, each roof had been painted, some moss-look added around the bottom of the houses/porches, the stump made to look more realistic, a curtain to the one screen door, and prop pieces about the porches of both houses.

The Cast
The play was really good, funny, and in some ways a little daring - well for this area anyway, tame as heck by my personal standards, but cute overall. Krystal even knew one of the cast members, and of course, moi. Talk about rubbing elbows with greatness eh. All in all we had a great date, a little wine, some delicious treats, and lots of fun.

Too bad we had to go back out into the cold to go home.
Part of the reason I never care if I leave my house in winter!

Exericse:
Walked with George
Shoveled from the dusting - about 15 min.

Meditation:
Listened to the woman on the video link from Andy's site. It was nice.
