Amante de Sol

"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio."........................................................... ~Hunter S. Tall Ships Came (and went)

I had the day off and walked down from my house to the event.
Here are the pics I took upon their arrival
(some are panoramas - and I haven't checked to see how well they're stitched - deal with it):

Ok so she's not a ship - just some weird bird carrying a cage full of birds (parakeets?) Perhaps she wanted to have them audition for all the pirate's activities? Only she knows why she'd be carrying a cage of (5) birds on a very hot day, on the Lake Walk during such an event. People were pointing and laughing as she passed. (sorry for the blurry pic)

She's hawt.

This pic is really about that red brick building in the background - well, actually the building below it obscured by the trees - my offices - and how glad I was not to be stuck inside on such a gorgeous day, but instead free to walk around and enjoy the glorious sunshine and heat.

I love the clouds in this ^ picture.

Later that evening I met my friend Krystal for dinner and here was her receipt:
Needless to say, we teased the waiter a bit about the misspelling,
the burrito's special properties, and the possibility of additives,
as well as how oh-so-creamy the dish was, and not too salty.
He had a few good cum backs of his own.
