My Crows have a new bub!
My strange neighbour's dog chased it into my backyard and it's hung out in safety all day. Mum and Dad hovered near, cawing back and forth, answering it's cries and chasing off the Kestrels.
I went out to let them know I was home and left them some chicken fat on the fence, which they gladly came down to eat, and even shared. Hopefully they even fed a little to the new one.
On another note...I spent the wet cold day in the kitchen making oatmeal choccy chip cookies, tuna salad, red potatoes (for some potato salad) and also visited the boys from Fabian Seafood and got me some Schnapper and Jumbo Prawns as a treat. I might even share.
It hung about the yard most of the day,
hiding around my lilac bush and deck as needed,
and happily digging up earthworms and other bugs, and playing on the lawn chair.
