Amante de Sol

"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio."........................................................... ~Hunter S. Playin Around & Free Subway!

Picked up my wreath this week from the Chester Bowl Wreath Sale/Fundraiser and finally had time to hang it. I decided on my side door as it is my main entrance. No one uses my front door. Back door friends are best right :P ;-) Just a day muckin about with the camera, and finally sorting it's upload issue.
Took some pics messin around today. Some are time stamped - can't decide if I like/want that on the pics or not. Easy enough to turn that on and off though. Can you see it snowing? (you may have to click to enlarge) It really wasn't snowing hard, in fact it was gloriously sunny all day, but there were flakes in the air (lake effect snow I'm sure) catching the light like giant specs of dust or glitter, the sort of snow I will gladly deal with - it doesn't amount to anything and looks magical. I wish I knew enough about my settings to really try to capture it. For today I just played on the Auto mode, so you get what you get.

Also hit the Subway free 6inch sub deal with a canned good donation for the local food shelves. Can't beat that = win/win. My local Subway is near two colleges so as you can imagine, there were quiet a few kids lookin to cash in on the deal. There wasn't much of a line really - about 20 or so when I arrived, less than some days at the downtown location over lunch.
These are some randoms taken throughout the afternoon to try the zoom, the panorama feature (i messed up so next time mebbe) and just try to show the view from my desk here in my room. I like that at this time of year the leaves are down and I can see out to the lake somewhat as well the lights of Park Point and Superior WI when it gets dark out.In this one you can see the sun reflecting off a roof or a building over in Superior causing it to look pinkish.
These last few were playing with the flash vs no flash or auto flash features. No flash seemed to be best. The flash ones looked darker than it actually was outside.
