Went to the Washington Art/Holiday show today.
Took heaps of pics since you couldn't be there :P
Went to work for a bit - saw a mate on the way home waving and smiling from his bus.
"Good to see you too Renãn." Miss ya - drive safe - watch the curbs!
Cheers!

Once inside, the gallery was straight ahead.
To the right are three mixed media pieces from Eric Dubnicka

On the left side are Graphite Pencil/Giclee pieces by Andrew Flowberg and the Art Raffle table.

The large Acrylic "Burlington Bay, March 2009" on the left was done by David Gross,
who I met later.
Through the doorway (center) is David's "Baptism River" the colours in his paintings were so rich and vibrant - I only wished I had taken closer photos of them. The two (of three) on the left by Emily Herbranson were pretty interesting as circling around in text were beatuiful sayings, some had several. Motivational, yet warm and colourful. On the far back wall were three Collage/Photography pieces by Madison Ohm.
This grouping by Sue Sojourner in Black & White Photography was quite striking.

Pieces by Lynda Ferguson
Jes Durfee's glass work. My photos do not do them justice. He had some amazing pieces on display here and more at his table in the hall. Many had 3 dimensional properties that amazed the eye, tiny sculptures within the glass - 'universes' he called them. Some space-like, some underwater worlds.
This glass piece being one of the many he had created - many catching light and some even glowing. Many pieces had intricate designs within the glass. There were also amazing delicate glass trees that could serve to display the larger pieces like this marble, both of which I hope to collect very soon.
Throughout the day several musicans gathered for our entertainment; Pianist Andrew Flowberg, The Procrastinators, Russ Sackett and the 412 Band, as well as belly dancer Anna Ferguson.
The halls were filled with artisans of all sorts; some using Birch, one with Gourmet Pet Treats, Knit & Crocheted items, ornaments and jewelry.
Jes Durfee demonstrating some of the functionality of his pieces to show goers. The salt shakers were especially interesting as they portioned out an amount of salt based on the shake from a maze-like funnel within the shaker.

Duluth Photographer Ryan Tischer had his gallery on the 4th floor open for visitors as well.
This room featured a children's art show and bake sale. Children of the artists in residence displaying their works and selling goodies.
