Amante de Sol

"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio."........................................................... ~Hunter S. Finally a day off. A nice one at that.

Took today off all the overtime at work.
I needed it.
Fell asleep last night between 730-8p and woke just after 10p on the couch.
Made my way upstairs and crashed until about 230a.
Tried in vain to go back to sleep, no go.
Luckily I had today off and figured I'd either sleep in, or drift in and out til lunch time.
As my luck would have it, I finally fell back to sleep just before 7a and slept until 9a.
When I woke, I felt good, wide awake and ready to go.
I went all day, with only one 20 min break, until 730p when I sat down to eat.
Now just after 930p - stayed awake long enough to put this together as I listened to the Twins lose to the Yankees in game 3. Boo. Sadness. Ah well.

I had a long walk just after 6p to the laundromat on 8th St., stopping to check the game on the TV there, and on my return route picking up wood and cans along the way - but, losing my glasses at some point, bending to pick up the wood or cans up *sigh* will look tomorrow for them.
I got heaps sorted today and never once missed working for the Census.
It felt great to have such a nice day off.
Sorted some stuff in the yard, stirring the compost and bringing in/rescuing more plants too.

During one run to the laundro to dry my bedding and such, I decided to take a ride to Skyline Parkway and Enger Tower to scope out the Fall Colours situation. I ended up taking a bit of a panorama of sorts, without stitching the shots together, yet showing the expanse of the view from atop the tower and in the park.

Enjoy!
