Amante de Sol

"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio."........................................................... ~Hunter S. It's About Time

I was finally able to sort, somewhat edit and post the pics from Bayfront Blues Festival 2009

I still have to upload all the Los Lobos pics from Saturday, but I will do that over lunch tomorrow as the connection is much faster than here at home. I've edited all the photos though so it won't take long.

I had intended on being outside on this gorgeous night and working in the yard, but my neighbour's son and mum decided to 'mow' her long neglected lawns (front, back and sides) with an industrial type trimmer/weed whacker. (aka a whippersnipper) Nice it got done, but the noise was atrocious on such a nice night when a band was playing up at Chester Bowl. This 'mowing' went on from 5:30-7:30p.

When there was a break in the noise and I could hear the music, it sounded great. *sigh*

At least it wasn't her dogs barking for hours and hours on end.

Ah well, the pics are done for the most part.

LMAO!!! My other LOUD neighbour (the crow voiced one on the opposite side) just yelled from somewhere inside her home, "Justin Morneau just hit another home run and we're ahead."

So I yelled from my couch - "Great! Thanks for the update!"
It got very quiet now. LOL

Damn, will these people EVER be considerate of others? If she isn't yelling something from inside their home or outside it - usually at her son, he is yelling nearly as much and seems to have a touch of the tourettes, (ok, maybe not, he just yells and swears a lot - a family trait it seems) and they have a very annoying Sheltie who barks when he is outside at pretty much anything. This dog has been around for at least 5 years and still barks at regular neighbours (like me, who has lived here for 17yrs) and basically just to hear himself bark. Sunday, she had let that dog out at 6am and it barked for at least 10 minutes before she let him back inside. Nice eh.

I would have loved sleeping in on Sunday.

(She's the same one who scrapes her sidewalks in winter at that hour as well.)

I really have to check in to this city's noise ordinances.
Or move.

Anyway, scroll back to the entries for Aug 7, 8, and 9th and check out the pics!
Cheers!
