Amante de Sol

"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio."........................................................... ~Hunter S. Opa!

Taste of Greece! Weekend
One of my very favourites all summer.
Held anually at the Twelve Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church
with all of the smells and flavours, sounds and fun
that is a Greek Festival of food, music and dance.
Yum!

Go round the back to the big tent and start out.

The Meat Men

Order Here - View Samples of the different menu items offered.

Pick it up fast here. To stay or to go.

Don't forget hand-made desserts!
Yum Baklava!

Find a place to sit and listen to the music and watch the dancers as you eat.
There is always room, just sit with anywhere, everyone is friendly!

The dancers are really very good and wear traditional costumes.

Don't forget to check out the Marketplace with clothing, books, and other Greek items.

Today was gorgeous, but a bit windy for the tents,
and I wanted to be in the sun so I got ours to go.
Mmmm...now if you'll excuse me.
