Amante de Sol

"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio."........................................................... ~Hunter S. Traffic was a mess around the downtown area as several of the Avenues are under construction as well as the main drag, Superior street being closed off from Lake Avenue to 4th Avenue West, not to mention the work being done on 35W slowing down traffic through town leaving really no routes to escape easily from the downtown area.

Taking the bus wasn't too bad, especially if you were able to do so before 8a and before 4:30p when things really became bottlenecked, or just rode it out and left downtown later. On Wed there was a Classic Car Show as well as several Harleys on display by members of H.O.G.

I left downtown as promptly as possible after getting caught on Wed just missing my 4:15p bus, yet jumping on an alternate bus route just to get me out of the area before it could get any worse. At 4:25p it still took us nearly 30 minutes to just get up and out of downtown to the hospital area. At 4th and 7th I hopped off and walked the rest of the way home (approx 20 min. and arriving home at 5:15p) beating my regular bus (4:40p) as that never passed me or even came past my neighbourhood until 5:30 a full 45 min late. Yikes!

My ride was much more fun as one of my old and favourite drivers was on this route (and rescued me like a Knight in shining Bus armor - lol) and we had a few laughs over the delays and a nice catch up. It was a gorgeous day for a walk and the three days were really quite good for the sales and shows as the predicted rain pretty much passed over us.
