Oh, and, Happy Hump Day too!
Slept in after a late, very late, night of homework (330a)
Had a shower, shave and some rather pleasant thoughts about someone.
Then bit the bullet and went outside to dig out my car so I could get the tabs for my plates which were due in Nov. I had totally forgotten. I think after so many years of then always being due in Dec for my old Honda. I've nearly had this car three years, and just haven't gotten used to it I guess.
My car was a pain to chisel after all the freezing rain and snow we had - I should have put it in the garage, but I wanted to keep my parking space snow-free so as to have that much less space to shovel in the end. I managed to chisel off most of it, then crank the heat and started shoveling as the plow came by, then the sanding truck. Once ready, it wouldn't go - it was on a bed of ice from all the freezing rain, slanted slightly downhill, and so close to the garage (as I like to have a wide walkway for garbage and such along the driver's side), that I had no place to gain some footing with the garage steps and a brick in front of the passenger side. I shoveled some of the new sand under the driver's side front tire, and even tried a piece of carpet and a larger piece of plywood. No go. No neighbours were about, so I rag George, as I knew he was out and about showing his houses, and probably not too far. He came right after and got me out. YAY! Thanks pal!
With that, and most of my shoveling done (and to my dismay a very sore right arm), I ventured toward the mall area and the DMV. In and out. New tabs on, and a quick run to the food court side to grab a bowl of chicken and broccoli - I was craving it and hadn't had that in ages.
Also had a quick visit with the ex about some stuff and then I was on my way to pick up some ice melt for the driveway, and back home to finish outside and do HW. Again. Ye-ha.
All for now...
OMG and Go watch this cool video by Minnesotan Brian Peterson!
