Amante de Sol

"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio."........................................................... ~Hunter S. Pics from Thursday

Silly Aster, finally blooming in November
I moved the plant here two years ago, this year it came in thicker with more shoots, but never bloomed. The frost came, and the rest of the plant has died back, except for this lil buggar. Go figure.
This week I took the bus home and the crows followed me from the stop. They hadn't done that for a few months, or even come round as much as they had been. Walking back to my house the one would swoop close by me - like just over my shoulder, and move to the next tree in my path. One sits up high in my tree and 'talks' to me sometimes, with little gurgles n caws. I can answer back similarly, and it goes on and on. Kinda funny, but I like it. Obviously they like me.
So I promised them as we walked that I'd get them a treat, and found in my freezer the turkey skin I saved from the last time I grilled. They were oddly absent that day and the last few times I had grilled. Usually they always come round as the grill means scraps. I reckon these two are this years new siblings, and their parents - my old regulars - seemed to maybe have moved.

This one finally dropped the big, still mostly frozen piece, so I went back outside and pulled it all apart into several smaller pieces. Then they chowed. I usually cut stuff up smaller, but hadn't, curious to see what they'd do, figuring that if it was roadkill, the pieces would be large.
