Amante de Sol

"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio."........................................................... ~Hunter S. Homework Monday

SSDD (same shit different day)
More homework.
Trying to get as much of the little stuff done early in the week so I can work on my big paper due Sat for the second half. Ye-ha.

Man I so cannot wait for these next two weeks to go by and the semester come to an end. Then I'd love *wishful thinking* to take off to Florida for(ever) *haha* to enjoy the warm weather and leave this godforsakenfrozentundra for a little while before starting back into school. (long story there)
Out of a boredom distraction I played around on the travel and airlines sites today, just daydreaming mostly, and found I could go round-trip to Orlando for only $173 including all fees! Unreal. I wanted to just book it and throw caution to the wind, but it takes much more than that - as in someone willing to give me accommodations and want me to be there for a visit. It's been talked about, but under the influence, so that topic would have to be revisited when both parties are less influenced.

On a fun note, I mailed off the cookies today to Sam and another deserving soul - that made me feel good, sending love in the mail. Funny too as I sent a text to Sam warning him to watch his mail now, and he sent back: "Cookies!?!?!?!"
I replied, "Coal."
He replied, "Damn."
I countered, "Should have visited more," as he was home Wed to Sun and I saw him all of an hour and a half on TG, and for about 15 min before he left Sunday. Although, I do have him to thank for mixing the cookie dough as my elbow was killing me, and I was also distracted camming with a friend. Like I could not send them to him.
Anyway, aside from that - I had to re-visit Hartley Nature Center today for a biome report for my Biology and Sociology class, and *had to have my photo taken there* as part of the report's requirement - as proof of actually going vs. searching online I guess. George called just as I had arrived looking to meet for our afternoon walk, so I got him to head over there (close to the cemetery) and take my pic for me, and have a look around. We didn't end up walking there as they require dogs to be leashed at all times and Gus is so not used to the place or being leashed, that he was just goin mental, so we decided it'd be best to head over to the cemetery and he could just run.

We walked again in the upper closed off, unplowed area - forging our way using the path we made Sunday. It was a bit slipperier due to the melt, and yet, seemed a little easier in some spots too. Still, a work-out. No real wildlife seen today, beyond some crows and lots of animal tracks. Nice to get the walk in as with tonight's impending snowstorm, George figures we won't be up there for a bit, if at all for the rest of the winter, depending on the amount of snow we get. It'd be fun to have snowshoes, or my x-c skis back to use there sometimes. The trails are off limits as Gus has discovered deer carcasses and goes off to munch on them - and it's a royal pain to get him back outta the woods, so our walking areas have become more limited.

So, it started raining around 4 or so, ugh. But still no new snow - YAY. Evidently the weatherman said that 9th Street would be the borderline, above that snow, below rain - I'm right on the border and only am seeing rain so far *knock wood*
Works for me!

Ok, back to homework!
Cheers!
