How fitting!
The Third Day and Third Place!
Went to my Volleyball end of season party tonight to find out that we took Third!
Some of the girls thought we were fourth or worse, but after thinking it out, there was no way, and in checking the boards when I arrived for the party, my guess was confirmed. We had!
Yay Us!
We won a certificate for a pizza and a pitcher of beer.
I caught up with some old mates at the banquet.
A fun night!
Although, it was also the END of my Census Job (senseless as we always liked to refer to it - as really, tons of the way it all worked, made no sense, or how most of it, seemed to use no common sense.) I won't say any more, but those of you who worked it in any/some capacity, totally can empathize, relate and KNOW it's true. But hey, we survived it. Not as long as some who are still there, but longer than many others ever wanted to, or could have. I for one am GLAD to be done. It was an interesting experience, and in-your-face view into how a bit of the Federal government works. BUT come 2020, I'll have no part of it, beyond sending in my form. Unless of course, I no longer reside in this country. (*prays*) I made some really cool friends and some others I will be glad to forget. Actually, they're forgotten, as of this post, they're toast. Some I will miss, but plan to meet with on a regular basis to socialise. Funny too as the people I got along best with, were 10-20 yrs older than myself, and I have such respect for them as people and learned, laughed and came to love them. The other's - the annoying/lame/ ones, sucked ass and I hope to never run into them, anywhere, ever.
"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio."........................................................... ~Hunter S.
