Amante de Sol

"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio."........................................................... ~Hunter S. Lunch, a Walk, and Ruby's Pantry

Work - a busy but good day at the academy.

Lunch with Census friends - they'll be laid off tomorrow - nice they had an extra 2 weeks.
A walk with George & Gus in the cemetery and through the woods - very fall-like and serene with all the lovely fall colours starting.

Afterwards we stopped by his house and he gave me some drain tiles for my new sump pipes out the front as they had a bit of a gap and I wanted to keep crud out of the pipes. He also sent me home with three boxes of teas he doesn't use and thought I'd like. Thanks George!

That should help some to keep the leaves and debris out of the piping.

I then drove up to Ruby's Pantry at the Coppertop Church

Well I was going to go, but found I was a bit late for volunteering, and even arriving 45 minutes early, the lines were long for the participants and the parking lot was packed - full. So I decided that next month I will go by 3p to volunteer and then have my spot. Today just had too much packed into it already for me to arrive by 3p. I also feel that at this point in time, there are those who need this more than me, people with families, who've been out of work longer, or have fallen on really hard times. I am thankful that there is this pulling together of community churches to offer this to so many people. I am also thankful that I am really doing fine.

On returning home I passed my little late bloomer sunflowers. I had started them in a long pot on the deck and never transplanted them so they were a bit stunted. A few weeks ago I moved them into the sunny spot in the yard and they really started to take off and bloom.
Here is one that looks so nice - although I see it's not the best focus job - ah well.

This year my Hydrangea went from white to pinks.
It had started out blue years ago, and then went white due to soil changes from what it was used to. I read up on how to change the soil's PH to change the colouring back. The sites I found said that once they turn white, they'll never bloom colours again. Well, shows what they know.
Although it didn't bloom pink, it turned turned pink with the temp changes for the first time.

O.K. Time for homework.
¡Abrazos!
