As I relaxed outside today I had several visitors.
This crow (I believe is one of the new ones this year) seemed to be enamoured with me as it kept cooing and chirping, not the rough caws as you'd expect. I answered back, mimicking it's calls - if I stopped, it'd start in again, as if coaxing me to talk or play. It hung around for quite some time. I managed to take a two minute video, and will have to try to upload and post it.
This lil chickadee had some sort of chair fetish as it just kept landing
and flitting about in excitement at the weirdest angles.
I just missed the shot when it was totally upside down hanging off the cup holder.
A new yellow finch came for a bath. It made me wish I had the finch feeder sorted.
Today was ABFAB.
Started out good and just kept gettin better.
Met some of my old-coworkers for lunch.
Two of us from the group were done working, and glad of it.
They all were lamenting how it was so boring there with nothing to do, and how they didn't want to go back to work after lunch, and try to look busy for hours.
(been there, done that, for weeks - ick, no thanks.)
All I could think of was, lunch was fun, but get me back home and out in the sun.
Been out here on the deck since 1p. Only just startin to chill. Heard we might have to cover plants tonight = teh suxor. *not already*
Can't complain - except for having to read Common Sense for homework - but at least it was out in da sunshine.
I was one glad-to-be-out-of-work person today.
Hmm...maybe a fire.
