Amante de Sol

"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio."........................................................... ~Hunter S. Tuesday's Remains of the Day

After work
After my game (lost)
After helping my daughter move an air conditioner, table and chairs
I decided I needed a swim to cool off and de-sand myself.
I never made it to the Smilies.
Along Skyline Drive, I was stopped in my tracks by the spectacular evening nature show
Try as I may to keep on course, by the second overlook, I had to stop.
My camera and the scene before me called to me
The river and waterfall, which I knew would be so refreshing, had to wait
Time was running out
The river was going no where
But, sunsets, last only minutes in each of their glorious colourful moments
The breeze high atop this place cooled me as I captured these moments making the swim redundant and pale in comparison.
I spent the time mucking about with sunset and panorama shots from Hawk Ridge for the remainder of tuesday evening.
The colours on the clouds above the lake were breathtaking.
Again, these photos really do no justice to what the eye witnessed.

These last four shots were from the Mount Royal Parking lot - I couldn't resist.

Afterwards I returned home to watch my taped World Cup Playoffs Uruguay vs Netherlands
I was sad to see Uruguay lose.
Valiant effort boys!
