Amante de Sol

"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio."........................................................... ~Hunter S. Too Early and VB Tuesday

Came home for lunch today and found these lil guys decorating my boulevard grass.
Earliest I ever recall seeing Dandelions sprouting.
It was so warm and sunny that it was very hard to go back to work.
Later, leaving work at 4:30p - a cold front had come through, the wind switched to come from off the lake, and the temp had dropped about 25 degrees. Grr. The next few days and nights are going to be considerably colder, with highs only in the low to mid 50's, and lows near freezing. I had to pull the plants in off the deck, and wonder how all the newly sprouted greens along the fences in the back will fare. No rain in the forecast either; which is a shame, as we need it.

On another note. It was volleyball night. I had a pretty good team, except for one player,
we just all worked around him. He really hindered us in one game, causing us to lose our great lead as every ball he touched that game as well as his serves were out of bounds, or into the net.
Later he did better at serving, but I think he was too tired to be of any use otherwise.

I, on the other hand, had a stellar night of setting - once again with the freak one-handed sets, or from odd places on the court, back set fakes and more. I WAS ON! It felt great. Had some great serving stretches too, gaining several points for our team, which always feels good. My two fave things are setting and serving, and tonight was exceptionally good.

Got word from a girlfriend there too that we'll be playin some Women's sand ball on Tues nights this summer too at Country Lanes. I can't wait! I've been out of sand ball for about 2 years, and miss it terribly. Playing in the sand is so fun, as you can dive and just go all out, plus it's good for your leg muscles and smooths your feets! It's also gonna be with really fun bunch of girls from my Tues night club - so even better as we all really get along and play well together.

Cheers!
