Amante de Sol

"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio."........................................................... ~Hunter S. Last Sunrise of November 2009

The early morning sky shown with gorgeous shades of reds, pinks and oranges before the sun ever made an appearance as I waited for the bus. Then riding down 6th Ave E the Sun made the first appearance as we came down the hill. Just the top half the disk was visible. Then along 3rd St at 2nd Ave W (7:31am) we stopped for a light and I was able to capture this shot. Not the best, and the camera does not do justice to the colours in the sky and those whispy clouds in the middle left. There were also a couple of ships out on the lake that I was unable to capture due to the buildings and such obscuring them.

Perhaps I should have cloned out the smoke stack, street lights and powerlines.
I did, however, manage to turn the mercury vapour lights out. Not bad for Paint.

At 130p the sun struggled from behind the grey snow clouds.
Made it out for only minutes at a time.
Flake OFF Clouds!
