Amante de Sol

"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio."........................................................... ~Hunter S. Make Your Own Sunshine

So another grey drabby day.

The sun tried to make an appearance around lunchtime, filtered through the clouds, then back to grey. Ah well, I had to work anyway, so no big loss really. And as luck would have it the last of the advisors decided to leave about 4:15 so I followed suit hoping the 4:15 bus would be a little late and it was! yay!

I had the rest of my prawns to sort from Friday's Fabian purchase and remembered a small steak I had in the freezer as well. Hmm surf and turf for dinner - sounds perfect. Into the oven went some steak fries, and whilst I prepared the rest, fresh green beans were sauteed ahead of the prawns in some butter and white wine, as well as some fresh Hubbard squash baked Sat, reheated. Don't forget the caramelised onions and Portabello mushrooms, topped off with an ice cold Newcastle Brown Ale.

Sometimes you just have to treat yourself.
It was the brightest spot in my day.
Cheers!
