and dried up as well so I could get back outside
for some much needed yard maintenance.
I pulled the wet blanket off the top of the plastic on the corner plants, then decided to pull the pastic as well. I am waiting on tonight's weather report to see how cold it will be and if I need to pull the plants inside or not, or just recover them. Hopefully, they can just be as is for tonight.
After messing with all the covered plants and their wet sheets and blankets I decided that it was time to pick up all the sticks and branches that had fallen on Thurs & Fri due to all the winds. Most were smallish but still added up to be a fair bit of kindling for some future fires on the deck.
I snapped this pic, of the sun coming through the clouds. As I turned around you could see the sunlight reflected off my neighbour's houses and trees - but this one doesn't look very bright. Then I called my mom for our Sunday chat and all the clouds gave way to blue skies with some pinkish tinge of the setting sun, of course I was on the mobile with her so I couldn't snap a better photo than this one. It got really nice out, then about 7p turned darker and chilly so I came back inside. But it sure felt good to be outside again for a few hours and out on the deck after so many days inside. I know the days are numbered, so I have to take advantage of each and every one, whether I am on a break/lunch from work, or afterwards til the sun sets. Winter's a comin and lasts way too long for my liking, trapped inside.
To celebrate, I ordered my favourite...MmmmmBei Jing's S-19 Garlic Chicken with Cream Cheese Wontons,
and had dinner outside.
