The weather turned Sunny and warm.
The High 67F according to one clock downtown.
Blue Skies, a few clouds and a light breeze.
Cooler down by the Lake.
To close out my final Staycation Sunday, I took a long ride on the Downtown Waterfront Trolley, taking in the sights of the Downtown, the Waterfront and Canal Park Area.
There were many people about today, obviously enjoying the only nice day of the weekend. One of the other riders commented how she was also checking out the home-front offerings as too many of us have these all around and take them for granted, but never really take the opportunity to enjoy them. And hey, for 50 cents, why not. (Actually for me, the ride was covered under my monthly DTA pass. Several others seemed to use passes as well.)
Along the way we passed and waved "Hello" to Kirk from work who also works weekends driving one of the horse-drawn carriages around the Canal Park area. One of these days that may just have to be my next ride.
Also, until today I hadn't realised that there were two Trolleys. Well I knew there was more than one from talking to the driver previously, but that they were two different colours as well. You can also rent one for special occasions. (Note: From the inside, the Blue Trolley's Bell sounds normal, in the Red Trolley, it sounds kind of like a cymbal being hushed say, inside a can - if that makes sense.)
