Amante de Sol

"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio."........................................................... ~Hunter S. The next door neighbour's inconsiderate and careless boyfriend has injured the boulevard tree.

His truck and construction trailer was parked out front of my home Sunday night (as we have alternate side parking switching on Sundays each week), as he had to move to this side and in front of my area as usual. (My kids and I park in the back and in the garage mainly. Even if we wanted to park out the front, between his vehicles and trailers or the neighbour across the street parking in front of my place, we never could. Glad I don't have to depend on it and really, I'd be a bit leery of them bashing up our vehicles as well in all their carelessness.)
Monday morning, the damage was evident after he left for the day.

I had heard some loud noises, but really never considered that they'd be that of the branch ripping from the tree.
Funny, he's avoided parking any vehicles and so has she, near the tree ever since.

Each week he seems to revel in parking out front of my home and directly blocking my steps to the street and footpath - all winter long especially, causing us to use the steps of another neighbour to access our footpath to the house, for either myself, my children or other guests who visit. The truck was within a few feet of my footpath steps to the street and the trailer attached and behind - directly under my tree. I wished I had taken a photo of that. But I remember taking note of it on Sunday evening after he had moved there as he actually had left access to the steps. Hard to believe!
It seems as if the branches had caught either on the truck or the trailer and when he pulled away, it ripped the branch as shown as well as ripped/stripped branches lower down, where they must have been caught on the vehicle or trailer. You can see the damage on the lower branches in the pics below:

bits of branch debris left from the lower part of the tree after him pulling away

one can clearly see the bits stripped away as the branch was pulled the wrong direction

No apologies.
No nothing.

Typical of the other messes they've left.

Never have I experienced more inconsiderate neighbours.

I also noticed other damage to the tree last week that occurred over the winter, either from him backing up the trailers to park them. (as there are often two trailers parked there plus a truck or two - some of the trucks contain racks .) Not much of a responsible driver. I'd sure think twice about hiring him for any work in or on my property as his carelessness and inconsideration seems to stretch into his job sites and prove his lack of decent work ethic and responsibility.

Just basic inconsiderate actions as he's/they've previously demonstrated with litter, cigarette butts, soda cans and bottles and other garbage that either is dumped from his vehicle, blows out of improperly closed garbage bins or just tossed out the back carelessly to blow around the street or alley. He has also started and left incomplete a siding and roofing job on the home next door (in which he dwells) as well as leaving the garbage from the construction (pieces of Styrofoam, packaging and trimmings and insulation as well as the vines ripped from the side of the home to be able to re-side the home strewn about my yard, or left to carelessly blow about the neighbourhood and alley. Not to mention their dogs leaving droppings or barking incessantly, in or outside of the home.

Just the sort of responsible neighbours and contractor you'd want to avoid having live near you or working on your home.
