Amante de Sol

"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio."........................................................... ~Hunter S. August Goodness

It was the sort of day you'd want to sleep in; overcast and a storm looming. So I did. I had wakened at 5am with no reason to do so, was up til about 7:30, then went back to a deep sleep, the kind where you feel as if you were drugged when you woke and really had to make an effort to get up again. About 11am I got up and made my son a bagel, bacon and egg brekky as well as a lunch to take to work with him, and a fat jalapeno veggie omelette with some vegemite toast to start off my day. Yum!

It got dark in the early afternoon, thunder rumbling softly, a bit of rain following. The kind of Sunday afternoon where you just wanna take a nap and laze about. So I did. First time in ages to be so decadent as to do so, snoozing intermittently while watching some episodes of Dexter season 2 on the laptop. Ahhhh.

Later I finished some chores and went out to play in the gardens and pick the newest tomatoes, basil, peppers and raspberries. Not a huge harvest, but good for a day. Enough to make a bowl of fresh salsa anyway. Hmmm that's right, I have some margarita fixings too...guess that's dinner, fresh salsa and Margs on the deck with a book in the late afternoon sun.
