It's still 50f at 930pm on 3/12/24
YaY! Coming home from work, window down, hand playing in the breeze, I relished the smells of a fire and grills. 3/12/24!!! Sat in the sun at lunch and after work. Drank in all the Vitamin D. *read gulped* Gonna sleep tonight. Spring is 3/20/24, but it felt like it already the past few days. Time to start some more seeds!12.3.24

Had a thought today...
"I wonder how many more Augusts I'll have."
Not to be morbid, but I'm no spring chicken.
Aug is my fave month, for obvious resons, the maine one being my birth month, the other being the next 9 months are (my personal) hell. LOL I know, I'm being dramatic. I'm allowed! ENTITLED! HA!
April 1 - Aug 31 are my most fave months, and go by WAY too fast.
Tomorrow, 9/1, basically starts WINTER!
Gaaahhhh!
Yesterday was the last FULL BLUE Super MOON until Jan/Mar 2037. I hope I'm still alive to see it!
Here's a link to some great pics!

Birth Month Thoughts
I've often taken off my bday as a present to myself.
That and the most of August I can get away with in one way or another.
This post was sparked by another article I read about 'birthday people'' vs non-'birthday people'.
https://www.bustle.com/life/psychology-of-birthday-people-blues-love-celebrating
For me, early on I realised I wanted my bday to mostly myself. I take the day off work if a workday, and do my own thing: sleep in, sit in the sun, make a spectacular brunch, and drink cheap champagne LOL
I might do other things, like visit a fave food truck or attend an event. For years it was Bluesfest, or Tribute Fest, Musicin the Park, or whatever I find going on around town.
I almost feel like a bday, is a personal thing, even though I am outgoing, I like my day to go MY WAY.
My Month too, as I'm a summer girl, and when Aug 31 occurs I know we're in for 9 months of mostly ick (in my book). Sure Sept and Oct can be ok, but it's the thought that it's 9mo of hell coming overall.

RIP Gordon Lightfoot
My daughter, when she was 2-3yo, was crazy for going to sleep listening to Gordon Lightfoot's Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. She had a little boombox by her bed, and insisted we play that song after reading several books, or during. Most times, she'd call us back to restart the song, more than once. I should've just recorded a loop cassette. Oops. #RIP @GordonLightfoot
